The Cardio-Combo

Individuals interested in fitness and good health can maximize their conditioning by adhering to both an aerobic and weight resistance program.

Aerobic workouts (e.g. walking, running, biking, basketball, aerobics, martial arts, volleyball, etc.)will enhance cardiovascular stamina and muscle-response to that activity. Whereas strength training will build and tone muscles. What if we could combine both at the same time, with any workout, and anywhere? You can. By adding weight to your body! Weight you can lose in seconds.

Cardio-Combo training builds on the principle that the ideal form of resistance is your body weight. It's what you use to move through your sport or fitness activities. It's the force working against gravity to activate your neuromuscular response. Walkers experience about 1 1/2 times body weight force with each stride. Runners increase the ante, with each foot contact handling a force nearly 4 times their weight. Your workout's productivity can be defined by this simple equation:

Work = Force x Time x Distance

Work is the amount of energy you expend during your workout (e.g. calories). Force is the resistance your muscles work against, such as your body's weight. Distance is how far you move that weight (e.g. a 2-mile run, or a 6-inch step in aerobic class). By increasing the amount of force, you maximize the amount of work without adding distance or time.

If you were able to add weight to yourself during an aerobic workout you could the additional resistance to:

* Burn more calories
* Increase cardio fitness
* Improve your muscle response
* Promote body toning and balance
* Bottom line - Intensify your workout in the same amount of time!

You can accomplish this by using products such as hand-held weights, wrist weights, ankle weights, weight belts, and weighted vests. Not all are efficient. They can have a negative impact on body movement technique, tend to exhaust one area, and their fit (usually loose) can cause discomfort. Oh, you'll put up with it for awhile, but soon it's a memory. In contrast, the weighted vest can come closest to simulating the natural way our bodies carry weight. For years, basketball, football, and track athletes have used weighted vests successfully. Improving their conditioning, vertical jump, speed(quickness), and endurance. Now,it's available for everyone.

The Cardio-Combo features the SVest. The latest nylon/lycra technology provides a quality, comfort-compression fit, and custom-sizing for men and women. The fit is guaranteed. It looks great.
