Dear Mr. Forest Benaway,

I would like to take this opportunity to say Thank You for allowing me the chance to test your SmartVest equipment.  During the test period I learned a great deal about my own physical fitness (PT) condition and about how your product can be very useful to U.S. Army (USA), U.S. Army Reserve (USAR) and U.S. Army National Guard (USANG) soldiers world-wide.

The SmartVest equipment (Vest and Shorts w/weights) was a tremendous asset to me while training and preparing to take the bi-annual P.T. test.  As you know, the Active Reservist/National Guardsmen only assembles two days a month and a minimum of 14 days in the summer.  This schedule does not provide an opportunity to participate in a PT program. In addition, realistically speaking, most Reservist and National Guardsmen are unable to afford annual memberships at their local fitness centers. Therefore, the average Reservist and National Guardsmen will spend majority of their personal time preparing for the Army's bi-annual P.T. test.

I began my training phase (5 weeks, exercising every other day and resting over the weekend) with the SmartVest equipment on Monday, October 3, 2005.  My goal was to be prepared to pass the bi-annual P.T. test being administered on Sunday, November 5, 2006.

I've compared the score from my last recorded bi-annual P.T. test (w/o the use of the SmartVest equipment) to the scores achieved on the current test (with the use of the SmartVest equipment).  As you can see there was a major difference in my performance.

                                            Total:  285

As noted I've improved my score by 25% just by using the SmartVest equipment for a short period of time.

It is evident the SmartVest, when used properly, is a valuable asset which can be used for preparing for the Army's bi-annual P.T. test.  In addition, the SmartVest can also be used as "every-day" work-out equipment.  The Life-Style wearing factor of the equipment is great for working around the house on the weekend or if you are a stay-home spouse it can be used while doing house cleaning.  The material is flexible and when fitted to your exact size, can be worn underneath your clothing.  Mr. Benaway and his team have designed and created a functional piece of exercising equipment that has unlimited military application.
